So I broke down and bought a DSLR.
I have been planning to for a little while and was originally going to go with a Canon XSi.
I own a Canon point and shoot and I have been very pleased so I thought it would be best to stick with Canon since I have experience with the menu layout.

Every person I talked to had a different answer about the Nikon vs. Canon thing so that didn’t help.

Nikon had a great deal on the D3000 on Black Friday. Came with a case, a book and a 2gb memory card for $499. I played with Luvsick Media’s D3000 some and since we want to shoot professionally (weddings, product/food etc.) so this will be easier because we can use each others lenses and camera bodies if we need too.

So far I have been very pleased with the D3000. I haven’t had a chance to really get into it but I definitely plan to.

My first trip was to Oakland Cemetery.
